About
Relationship before software.
The Where is a guest-relationship framework created and operated by Amanda Huie Consulting. It exists because the hardest part of a restaurant's growth is not finding guests — it is being remembered by the ones it already found.
Where it came from
It started as consulting, not as a product.
The work began in dining rooms, with operators who knew their regulars by name and had no way to reach anyone else.
The pattern repeated. A venue would run a promotion, see a spike, and have nothing left afterwards — no list, no permission, no way to tell a first-time guest apart from a fifth-time guest. The value went to whichever platform had brokered the visit.
The Where is the shape that work settled into: a small set of guest interactions that are worth having on their own, and that leave the venue with a relationship it owns.
How we work
Three commitments we do not trade away.
Guest first · Every metric acts · Truthful by default
Guest first
Immediate value before data capture.
The guest gets something worth having before anything is asked of them. If the exchange only works when the guest gives first, it is not an exchange.
Every metric acts
A number that ends in nothing is noise.
Every figure in the console answers what happened, or what to do next. Usually both, and the recommendation is in the same panel as the evidence.
Truthful by default
Say what is simulated, in place.
Illustrative figures are labelled where they are shown. Anything needing an integration says so. Disclaimers sit at the point of use, not in a footer.

The reference implementation
The Where × Old Fire Station #3.
The first full build of the framework is with Old Fire Station #3 — a restaurant with a strong local character and a guest list it could not previously reach.
The partnership is the reference implementation: a guest experience inside the phone that carries the restaurant's own brand, an owner console that carries ours, and the AHA insight pattern connecting them.
Local character over national-chain polish. That is a design rule, not a compliment.

We're ready to get started.
If your guests already have a reason to like you, we can help them remember it.
